Informal Archive Drawings

 These drawings took a while to complete. I did layers and layers and layers of pencil crayons to crest these beads. This was a fun assignment and I liked how mine turned out. I love all the colour and variety.

Contour line drawing

 One thing I had to make a decision about while working on this assignment was if I was going to draw each object individually with the back of it lighter and a lighter weight and the front heavier or if I was going to draw it as one whole composition with each object being in the same space when the objects in the front would be fully darker and the objects in the back be fully lighter. I chose to - yes make it a full composition obviously - but draw each object individually with each object having its own weight in the front and back. Artworks I love

A list of artists and their work that I fell in love with while searching for alive, contemporary artists for blog/assignment #2. Alice Neel David McKee and his First Wife Jane 1968 oil on canvas 152.1 x 102cm Nina Beier Women & Children 2022 found bronze sculptures I found this piece, and most others in this blog in frieze magazine issue no. 243. To find these images I went online to download them and get the basic information of the piece so I didn't have to go looking in the magazine again but surprisingly - to me at least - I found barely any information online, granted I did not look long but normally the information is all right there. So I went back into the magazine and instantly got the information.
